Fourteen Weeks!

Fourteen weeks today!  The Yosh is such a big boy!

He is also super smart...as if you had any doubts.  Check out the videos of him batting at his toys (an advanced skill for his age) and another of him actually laughing (not just squealing with delight)!

This week, Peyton celebrated his first Thanksgiving and visited with lots of people!

Uncle Eric
Great Grandma
Julia

Alyssa
Aunt Joanne
It was fun...but tiring!

Good thing Baby Yoshi has lots of fat stores to keep his energy going.

The Yosh uses a lot of that energy being unbelievably cute.  See below.

This lip biting/chewing thing seems to also be a newly acquired skill.

And in case you didn't watch the video, here is picture evidence of his batting skills.  Take that jingle zebra.

Other events this week...

Peyton enjoyed some chill time with a newly beardless Uncle Mike.

Mom, Dad, and Baby Yosh all made it through a meal at Chili's without incident.

The Yosh-Ma-Tosh got his sleep on in his moose slippers...

And also enjoyed eating his soft dog blanket.

Can't wait to see what The Yosh will do next!  Bye for now!

Three Months!!!

Just a quick post to commemorate The Yosh's official 3 month birthday (and first Thanksgiving AND first trip out of state to West Virginia)!  We survived the day and only peed through one outfit.  YAY!

We love you Peyton!

More Thanksgiving pics to follow in week 14's blog post.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Thirteen Weeks!

Thirteen weeks today!!  Peyton is so big that he's ready to play some hoops.  Watch out NBA...specifically Jeremy Lin.  There's another Asian coming your way!

We had a great week with our little b-baller.  Once again there are just too many super pics of this super baby, so we included a lot!!!!!!  Enjoy yourself!

The Yosh likes to hang in the kitchen looking at his plastic lion with Mom while she's cooking.

He also enjoys staring at the lion in the living room.

When the lion is removed, then Baby Yoshi likes to chillax.

Sometimes, Peyton likes to be a Nike model.

And sometimes he doesn't...

This week, Peyton slept for over 9 hours straight!

Sadly, later in the week, he decided he was going to only sleep for 45 minutes at a time.  During nap time, Dad got desperate.  Peyton will sleep with a pillow on his legs (with adult supervision of course!).

At night, we decided to swaddle!  SUCCESS!  Back to long stretches of sleep...

Peyton is getting so good at holding on to things with both hands!!

Baby Yosh is becoming better at holding his head up on his own.

Peyton has been talking A LOT this week.  He was also being very expressive...

The Yosh loves his Zebra toy during tummy time.

That's all for now.  Hope you have a happy zebra-filled day!

Twelve Weeks!

The Yosh is 12 weeks old today and he is awesome.
(Note arms and legs in motion in this picture.  He is pretty much moving all the time unless he is sleeping...and sometimes even then.)

He is so awesome that we have a TON of pictures to share on this blog post because we couldn't decide which ones to use, as each was equally amazing.  Enjoy!

Chilling with Dad.  Walking with Mom on a warm November day!

The Yosh loves getting dried off in his hooded towel after baby spa time (AKA bath time).

Peyton likes his moose slippers.  How stylish.  He also enjoys looking like 'The Fonz'...or a bear.

Peyton discovered that he had TWO hands this week and gives equal chew time to both right and left.

Baby Yoshi wanted to try some hummus at Mom's hummus party!  No hummus allowed Baby Yosh!

Grandpa's birthday was on Peyton's 12 week birthday!  He was mad that he didn't get any presents...but was excited to help blow out the candle.

Peyton likes to play with his jungle gym every day!  He also likes the jingle bugs on his car seat, and...Mr. Crinkle Crinkle, the crinkly dog toy!

Baby Yoshi  likes to nap in his swing a couple times each day.  This picture was taken when the swing RAN OUT OF BATTERIES.  The Yosh and Mom had to make an emergency battery run.  Yikes!

Peyton got to see Grandma Mola a lot this week because Grandma and Grandpa were living it up in Vegas.

Each week his hair gets longer and crazier.

His neck muscles also get stronger each week.  But, even with dog friend supervisors, tummy time does not come without its challenges.

Tummy time FAIL                              Tummy time SUCCESS

That's all for now.  Until next time...Goodnight!
